Country Living Christmas Fair

My mum and I went to the Country Living Christmas Fair last week. It was so lovely to have a girly day out with my mum - we don't do it often enough!

We arrived in Islington on a horrid, wet and windy day to see swarms of people heading into the Business Design Centre.

We were met with a vast array of lovely stalls...

And I found lots of lovely christmas inspirations ♥

I recommend it - we had a lovely day - then finished it all off with a truly scrumptious dinner at Ask - their spinach and mushroom dip starter was divine!!

Well, I have to go - lots of button hearts to make!!

Lots of love ♥

More orders

Well, it has been a busy week for me - lots of work and lots of custom creations!

First off this week, I finished a custom turquoise button heart for a lovely lady called Emma, to match the colour scheme in her living room. I  ordered in some more turquoise buttons specially, and had great fun creating this one ♥

I also finished two more sets of turtle doves for the lovely Nicola and Bella. I think these are so lovely and would look fabulous hanging from the mantle or even on the tree at Christmas time ♥

I have made this custom request for the  wonderful Jodie, who is my latest fan, all the way over in New Zealand!! I love the pink buttons and I think this bangle is super, super cute! ♥

I have got to source some fabric for two more pencil rolls for my school friend Claire and I have been asked to create a jewellery roll for the lovely Heather, which I am really excited about. So, hopefully I will be off sourcing more lovely fabric tomorrow and starting these next creations. I've also got my last batch of orders to post off tomorrow too.

Keep visiting my Facebook page and follow me on here to keep up to date with all the latest creations. If you see anything you like, or would like me to create something unique and special for you, please email me at thelittlehandmadeheartcompany@yahoo.co.uk ♥

Thats all folks!

Latest orders

Well, it has been a very busy few days! I have had lots of new orders come in from my Facebook page, so I have been busy sewing and creating!  I'll share what I have been up to with you!

I finished the turquiose button heart  - it has nautical blue and white stripes on the reverse. I am very pleased with it and I think it looks fabulous. I have since received anothe order for one the same, but with a white reverse. I am just waiting for my new supplies of turquoise buttons to arrive so I can finish that one too!

I've also started my new 'Hello Baby' collection. So far I have cute pink or blue gingham heart to hang in a new baby's room, ideal as a gift for a new born or for a baby shower.

I have had an order for two pencil rolls already! My friend Em came over for tea and cupcakes and was so delighted with the one I made for my neice, she promptly ordered a couple for her neices too! So this morning I went off to source some lovely fabric for them. One is purple and the other will be blue.

I have made up one of them so far and I am very pleased with the result.

Anyway, I have got another to make so I'm off to carry on crafting!

See you all soon,

hugs xXx

♥ Happy Halloween ♥

Well, what a busy day I have had! I went shopping this morning for fresh craft supplies and found some really great bargains, so I am feeling very happy.

I came home and made some fiendish rice crispie cakes with halloween jelly sweets on! They soon disappeared into the baskets of the ghoulish and witchy this evening!!

I also completed an order for one of my customers: a set of apple-green and a set of red hand painted dolly pegs, which look super cute!

Today I also made my neice, who is 4, a pencil roll, complete with 24 coloured pencils, for her Christmas present. She loves to draw and I think she will love to keep her pencils carefully wrapped up in her roll, complete with a C initial stiched onto the front in matching pink felt.

Tomorrow I am going to start on another hand sewn button covered heart, with white and turquoise buttons for one of my customers.

I have an order for another of these too! I can't wait to make a start on these ♥

Well, I have worked hard today, so I am going to go curl up on the sofa and catch up on this weekend's X Factor on Sky+  ♥

felted christmas trees

Oooh, I just found this tutorial for making christmas trees out of old wool jumpers on The Long Thread:

http://thelongthread.com/?p=1656

They are just soooo cute! I love that they recycle old woolen jumpers. I might have to just go on the hunt for some old woolies and have a go at these!

♥ New supplies ♥

Good morning world and happy Monday to you all!

I have been busy today scouring the world wide web for some little gems to get creative with.

I have ordered some lovely little pearl beads, which I am going to make into gorgeous little bracelets with silver charms and ribbon bows. ♥

I have got my eye on some totally cute little silver crown charms for the bracelets, so fingers crossed that I can get them for a good price.

I've also seen a great variety of heart charms which I also hope to be able to get in the next few days, however my internet at home is down at the moment so I am hoping that it gets fixed very soon! ♥

I have also got my eye on some seriously cute angel charms ♥
 Gorgeous key charms... ♥

and some lovely flower charms too... ♥
I really can't wait to start creating these little lovelies ♥

TGI Friday!

Wow! What a crazy week! I have been working all week at The Cheltenham Literature Festival.

My highlight was probably listening to Jeremy Edwards reading extracts from stories whilst everyone relaxed with a cup of Carte Noire coffee! He had a lovely voice and read very well!

I would also have loved to have heard Kirstie Allsopp discuss her latest book 'Kirstie's Handmade Home. I really like Kirstie and I think her ideas are wonderful!

I like her Christmas stocking: http://www.channel4.com/4homes/design-style/how-to-guides/how-to-make-a-quilted-christmas-stocking-steps-09-12-07_p_1.html

Well, the weekend has at last arrived and I am going to have a well earned rest because it is my birthday on Sunday! Then, back to creating little bundles of crafted joy on Monday morning ♥

♥ Wedding bells ♥

Good morning world!

Today I am working at a wedding at Bishopswood House. It looks like a beautiful setting so I am quite looking forward to it!

I absolutely love weddings, so feeling inspired by today, I thought I would share with you some gorgeous wedding delights I have found. Of course, they all have a pink / heart theme!  ♥

I love these rose topiary centre pieces, from Confetti.co.uk. I think they are so elegant and pretty.

I also think these little heart wedding cake bubbles are truly adorable!

These napkin charms are really pretty and double up as wedding favours! They can be found at dotcomgiftshop.com

These crystal name card holders are super lovely. They are from Confetti.co.uk

Coc & Cox has an absolutely beautiful range of wedding favours and table accessories. This 'To have and to hold' ribbon is a favourite of mine ♥

I think this is a fabulous idea - little boxes of trivia question cards featuring questions and answers with a romantic twist, great for breaking the ice around the table at the reception.

These paper chains are so adorable! I love them!

Absolutley gorgeous old fashioned pink roses. My favourite. ♥

I imagine I will come back feeling all loved up and girly, so expect to see some beautiful wedding-perfect heart loveliness on here soon!

I am working again tomorrow at Cheltenham Literature Festival, so I will be away from my sewing machine for two whole days! I will be itching to get back to it on Monday!

Till then...
Lots of love ♥
